All of our projects include a strong sustainable design ethic and a commitment to teach you about your plants; their history, their culture, their value, their community and their stewardship needs.

We use the name, Design by Plants, because we are students of plants. 500 million years of evolutionary intelligence is available for the asking. Plants have created sustainable systems of support that are elegant examples of abundance, efficiency and simplicity. These systems help shape the principles and ideals of our firm's work. For thousands of years we brought plants into our homes and tended gardens to create environments that nourish us. We make gardens that draw upon this developed wisdom.
